These guys royally screwed us over. I could write a saga. It was a nightmare. In short, they replaced two of our three A/C systems. The minisplit system in our ADU works great. However, the new air handler they installed in the third floor attic of our main house ended up causing extraordinary water damage, which cost us an unbelievable headache, dozens of hours of time working as GC, and a month without our master bedroom. What happened? We hired them to fix our air flow problem to our master bedroom. Air handler is on third floor, immediately above the bedroom. Ductwork runs out, then down. Pretty straightforward. The problem, they said, was that "our A coil was dead" and they could charge us thousands to diagnose, with no guarantee that it would work afterward. Or we could replace the air handler. After we got the same story from other companies, we decided to go for it. They came out, replaced the air handler with a high-powered Lennox model with a more powerful blower to push more cold air into our bedroom. They replaced the outside A/C as well. So the whole thing should've worked perfectly. NOPE. They had to install the air handler horizontally b/c of the space. It's supposedly designed to accommodate that. NOPE. The stronger blower blew water out of the drip pan, across to the duct, and down onto the floor. By the time we'd caught the leak, our master bedroom ceiling was saturated with water. It took them a month to mitigate the damage to our ceiling and walls, but they NEVER fixed the air handler! They tried several things, to no avail. Their ultimate "solution" was to turn the fan speed down, so it wouldn't blow water. Guess what? That nullified the entire purpose of the $10K project! And our master bedroom remains hot during warm weather to this day. These guys should have refunded our $10K in its entirety, so we could hire someone else to come in and do the job right. Never, ever hire these guys (they got bought by Buckner's, FYI, so this review should probably be on their store profile) for a complex job.

We had a few major issues since we bought the house a couple of years ago. They installed the HVAC for my house. In the first year, vents got disconnected. To fix it they had to make several cuts to the wall. Later, the furnace was leaking gas. It is a new unit and it wasn't supposed to leak! I was told a bad installation that allows debris into the system can cause the valve to malfunction! Recently, I found that the exhaust pipe is leaking which caused stains and mold to form in the ceiling! The builder told me it is just excess moisture and to avoid using the shower! Now, I have to pay hundreds of dollars to fix the leaking pipe! They wanted to charge me a lot of money to fix the leaking valve on the furnace. Another plumbing company fixed it for me for a much cheaper cost. They don't stand behind their work!

Do not do business with R-Mech! After messing around with them for a week and paying out over $1,000.00 in payments, they told us our 9-year old furnace needed to be replaced. NOT TRUE!. a technician from Dick Ray came out, diagnosed the problem and had the furnace running in less than 15 minutes. R-Mech made repeated trips to the house and replaced the thermostat and a major circuit board. Since we had already spent $1000.00, they offered to give us that as a credit for a new furnace, which would have cost around $5000.00. What a rip off. Their technician was either incompetent or was intentionally trying to rip us off. Avoid this company!

This moron driver. Decided to pass me by driving down the shoulder of the road. Exit ramp from state ave west bound to 7 highway northbound. Road construction on 7. Must of need a beer real bad. They did contact me. Said they would look into it. Meanwhile this person is out on the roads endangering other drivers. It been 4 months. They never have responded with an apology for there drivers actions. They did tell me they had cameras in there company vehicles. I love to send the video to there insurance company. Guaranteed increase in premiums. The lady I talk to basic blew me off. Was some what offended over the " in a hurry for a beer comment".

We purchased a completely new heating and cooling system 2 years ago. The house is constantly HOT in the summer and COLD in the winter. The thermostat says there may be an issue with system but the technician says everything is running as it should. Well if everything is running as it should then it should not be 82 degrees in the house when the thermostat is set on 71! Now we call for a technician and they are too busy to come until next week sometime. We change our filters regularly so that is not the problem. Buyer beware. They were super helpful and prompt when we were purchasing the system but now that they have our money they can’t be bothered. Go somewhere else for your heating and cooling. MVP heating, cooling and electrical has been there for us every time we have an issue unfortunately our warranty is through R-MECH.

Don’t bother calling these idiots. Called at 5pm for service on an drain opening and was told someone would reach out when on the way. At 8:40 pm someone finally called - TO TELL ME THERES NO “AFTER HOURS” SERVICE!! So I’ve literally been waiting here hours for someone who was never coming anyways. I’m not the type to call 5 companies at the same time and use who arrives first, so this put me back to square one at 9pm to find a compentent company to come do the work. Save yourself the headache and just call anyone else first…

I have used R-Mech for 3 different services. The biggest one was a new HVAC system. My 33 yr old AC died 4th of July weekend. I got quotes from 3 other companies then remembered what a great job R-Mech replacing my hot water heater the year before. Their HVAC person was the only one who checked my electric panel to see if it could support the unit I needed. Other companies tried to sell me a much larger system than I needed. R-Mech gave me the option of paying a little extra to have my install done on a Saturday, rather than wait until Monday. Well worth it! They cleaned up everything and left nothing behind. The service contract offer was no pressure and a good buy. They keep me on track for maintenance. Very efficient systems in place! Polite & respectful. I’m impressed every time and won’t hesitate to hire them again and again.

We'd had really great experiences with them until early this year. At that time, they only provided one of two estimates that we requested (both of which they said we needed) and we've been unable to get them to provide the second estimate or to even do the work related to the first estimate since that time. We've been calling and emailing for 6+ months at this point. Due to our previous positive experiences we really wanted them to handle this work; however, we are now looking for a new company to do the work. We can't wait forever.
